Lectori salutem!

Dear Reader,

This is my first post. I like playing with graphic design and type fonts and themes, along with my capable assistant. She has been blogging a lot longer than I have, so she knows a lot.

I just finished watching The Reader and was very moved. It is about Germany after the second World War. The main character comes from the second generation after the war. This generation has lost faith in their parents, teachers, and pastors, who were complicit in the war’s atrocities. Michael, the main character, learns a secret about someone he knew in his youth and is faced with a moral dilemma. The story shows how the country’s collective history and Michael’s personal history are interwoven as he tries to understand the past and make choices in the present.
